AJ Adkinson & Son have cared for bereaved families within the community of Oadby and throughout Leicestershire since 1929. Our focus has always been on forging strong personal relationships with our clients, based on empathy and mutual trust. The business is wholly owned and run by Funeral Directors, Fraser and Jenny Gilbert, respectively, the second and third generation of the family.

We’re familiar with how the area has evolved and we respect and celebrate the community’s cultural diversity. We have long recognised and respected the differing bereavement needs of the south Asian communities and became the first established funeral directors in Leicestershire to provide a purpose-built facility catering for their specific needs, providing privacy, comfort and practical support at the most difficult of times.
